a. Those applied for protection and beautification
• Skin creams and lotions- to moisturize the face and body
E.g. Vanishing cream, cold cream, cleansing cream, foundation cream, all-purpose cream, anti – wrinkle cream, moisturizing lotions, day creams, night creams, bleaching creams, anti – ageing products
• Face powders or compacts- used to set the foundation or give a matte finish
E.g. Face powders, talcum powders, compact face powder
• Astringents, skin tonics
• Face packs and masks
• Sunscreen, sun tan and anti- sun burn products
