SOP for calibration of Auto Titrator
1.0 PURPOSE
The purpose of the standard operating procedure is to provide guidelines for calibration of Auto Titrator.
2.0 SCOPE
The scope of this standard operating procedure includes calibration of Auto Titrator.

4.0 PROCEDURE
4.1 DETERMINATION OF VOLUME:
4.1.1 Clean the measuring / dispensing pipette available with the respective set of the,
equipment.
4.1.2 Fill the measuring pipette with distilled water and adjust to the zero point.
4.1.3 Dispense the known volumes of water at random or from the set point of the
graduation marks of the pipette.
4.1.4 Repeat the dispensing of water at different set points and weigh the beaker again
and again.
4.1.5 From the different weights obtained calculate the volume dispensed and co-relate
with the graduation of the pipette and assign the value.
4.2 CALCULATION:
Weight of the water dispensed (gm)
Volume of the pipette (ml), V= ------------------------------------------------ Density of Water at 27oC (gm / ml)
